Think eating healthy with diabetes has to break the bank? Think again!
In this video, I'm going to take you on a grocery shopping trip and show you how to stock your kitchen with delicious, budget-friendly foods that will support your diabetes management.
First stop: the produce aisle! Load up on non-starchy vegetables like broccoli, spinach, and peppers. They're packed with nutrients and fiber, and they're super affordable, especially when in season.
Next, head to the dry goods section. Stock up on lentils, beans, and canned tuna. These are excellent sources of protein and fiber, and they'll keep you feeling full and satisfied.
Don't forget frozen fruits and vegetables! They're just as nutritious as fresh, but often much cheaper. Plus, they last longer, so you'll waste less food.
In the grain aisle, choose whole grains like brown rice, quinoa, and whole-wheat bread over refined grains. They're higher in fiber and will help keep your blood sugar stable.
Eating healthy with diabetes doesn't have to be expensive!
